  • Condition: Nice pair of vintage wall shelf sconces featuring a shield motif with a beautiful hand painted coat of arms; no structural damage with several scuffs and scrapes which are age appropriate and one shelf has some white dots on the underside (see last 3 photo's for examples of wear). Made of mahogany and has a satin gloss finish. Holes on the backside for mounting using screws ornails (not included). These are very handsome and would look wonderful in any executive office or a home library and measure aprox. 12" wide, 8" tall and shelf depth of about 6.5".

    Description

    Very handsome pair of wall shelf sconces for your home or office.  This sconces feature a shield motif on the front with a hand painted coat of arms.  There is a ribbon below with a Latin phrase (
    meaning unknown).  Made of mahogany with a beautiful grain.  In excellent structural condition with one shield slightly loose at the bottom mount, be is stable.  There are numerous scratches, scuffs, etc. which are age appropriate, and some white dots on the underside of one shelf, some area of lighter wood on another:(please see last 3 photo's of examples of the wear).  These unique shelves measure aprox. 12" wide, 8" tall and has a shelf depth of about 6.5".
